About Jes

Results-driven engineering leadership at the intersection of AI, safety, and compliance.

I’m Jes Daigle, the founder of CoreEthos. I've been in the tech industry for over 20 years, from my early days as an indivdual contributor to building and leading inclusive, high performing teams. I’ve led multiple teams building AI-powered products (NLP, OCR, computer vision, OSINT), modernized brittle monoliths into reliable architectures, and driven comlpiance initiatives like SOC 2, and HIPAA from “we should really do that” to “we passed the audit.” Along the way I’ve delivered concrete wins like 20%+ reductions in cloud costs by reducing storage and services sprawl, Built systems and processes that resulted in 50% faster incident response times and , 80%+ drops in bug rates, and faster, calmer release cycles for teams that were stuck in firefighting mode.

I take a no-BS, results-first approach: understand the real problem, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship solutions that actually stick. That means telling the truth about what’s possible, on what timeline, and with which tradeoffs—no hype, no magic decks, no promises I can’t keep.

Integrity and authenticity are non-negotiable for me. I’d rather give you a clear “here’s what it will really take” than sell you a glossy transformation story that falls apart six weeks after I leave. The work we do together should feel the same on the inside as it looks on the outside.

Nudge grew out of that same conviction. After years of building systems that handled sensitive data, safety signals, and human behavior at scale, it became impossible to ignore how often teens were being targeted in “innocent” apps while the adults in their lives stayed in the dark. I didn’t want another AI demo or dashboard; I wanted something that could interrupt real harm in real time and give both teens and guardians a fighting chance to act before it’s too late.

Just as important, Nudge is built on the belief that safety doesn’t have to mean total surveillance. Teens deserve spaces that feel private and respectful. Guarding their online safety shouldn’t mean reading every message or turning parents into full-time monitors. Nudge focuses on patterns and high-risk signals, not blanket monitoring, so families can have the tools to step in when it matters most—without destroying trust. If you want the inside scoop on what inspired Nudge you can find more in my Medium post ("Why I Built Nudge: Using AI to Protect Teens Online (opens in a new tab)").

The through-line of my career has always been solving real problems for real people. Nudge is one expression of that; using AI to slow a racing teenage mind long enough to spot danger. CoreEthos is the broader container for applying that same principle to engineering orgs, compliance, and product strategy.

At the same time, I’m deeply people-focused. My leadership style is defined simply by one strongly held belief burned-out people don’t build resilient systems. I've built my career around creating environments where teams can thrive under pressure, fostering open communication, psychological safety, and a culture of continuous learning. When people feel supported and valued, they do their best work.

CoreEthos exists at the intersection: strategic AI, solid engineering, real-world compliance, humane leadership, and doing the next right thing even when it’s harder. If you need your team to move from chaos to clarity, ship complex products with confidence, or build AI-powered safety tools that actually work for real people, let’s talk.
